Zoning Board of Appeals Hearing

The Town of Barrington Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on April 9th, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Barrington Town Hall located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan, NY and County of Yates.

Property address 1017 East Lake Road, Dundee, NY 14837, the property owners are applying for a variance to construct a pavilion with a concrete patio, a variance for a setback from the lake front high-water mard, which is actually 7.25', requesting a variance of 17.75'.  Minimum requirements are 25'.

The public is welcome to attend.  Comments can also be emailed to Barringtoncode@yahoo.com or mailed to the Barrington Town Hall.

Mondays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tuesdays 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Wednesdays & Thursdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Highway Department Request

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTCE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I have received the tax roll and warrant for collecting taxes in the Town of Barrington and I will receive said taxes at the following times at the Barrington Town Hall Mondays 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, Tuesdays 7:00 am until 7:00 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  During the month of January taxes will be collected without fee or penalty.  On all taxes remaining to be paid after January 31st, 2026 a penalty of 1% will be added for the month of February and 2% penalty will be added for the month of March.

All unpaid taxes will be returned to the Yates County Treasurer on April 1st, 2026 at which time a penalty of 5% plus 12% interest per annum will be added.
