Planning Board Public Hearing

The Town of Barrington Planning Board will hold a public hearing on December 16th, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Barrington Town Hall located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan, NY and County of Yates.

The Property address, 5380 Dutch St., is applying for a Minor Subdivision to create a 5.029-acre lot from the 47.8-acre parcel.

Public Hearing on Comprehensive Plan Update

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Barrington Town Board will be holding a public hearing on an update to the Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Barrington on January 19th, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Barrington Town Hall located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan, NY.  Residents are encouraged to attend and be involved in the process of the Comprehensive Plan for the Town.

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTCE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I have received the tax roll and warrant for collecting taxes in the Town of Barrington and I will receive said taxes at the following times at the Barrington Town Hall Mondays 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, Tuesdays 7:00 am until 7:00 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  During the month of January taxes will be collected without fee or penalty.  On all taxes remaining to be paid after January 31st, 2026 a penalty of 1% will be added for the month of February and 2% penalty will be added for the month of March.

All unpaid taxes will be returned to the Yates County Treasurer on April 1st, 2026 at which time a penalty of 5% plus 12% interest per annum will be added.

The Barrington Town Clerk's office will be open Mondays from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, Tuesdays from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm, and, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, except on holidays.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Barrington will be holding a PUBLIC HEARING on the COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE on February 9th, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Town Hall located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan, NY and County of Yates.  The Comprehensive Plan update can be reviewed here on the website or at the Town Clerk's office during normal office hours.  Barrington Residents are encouraged to attend.
