Public Hearing on Preliminary Budget 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Barrington, Yates County, New York for the fiscal year 2026 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan, NY where it is available for inspection by any interested persons during regular business hours or here on the Town's Website.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Barrington Town Board will hold a public hearing on October 28th, 2025 at 6:05 pm and that at such hearing any person may be heard for or against any item or items herein contained.

Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of elected Town Officials are as follows:  Highway Superintendent $75,000, Town Clerk $40,640, Supervisor $14,000, Justice $11,742, Town Council $2,000.

Public Hearing Proposed Local Law 2 of 2025

Notice is Hereby Given that the Barrington Town Board will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 at 6:00 pm on proposed Local Law 2 of 2025 entitled Override the Tax Levy Limit Established in General Municipal Law §3-c at the Town Hall located at 4424 Bath Road, Penn Yan, New York and County of Yates.  The proposed law can be reviewed at the Town Clerk's office during regular office hours or on the website below.
