The Dundee Area Historical Society covers Barrington, Dundee and Starkey and provides historian services for the town. To learn more about DAHS visit their website at DundeeAreaHistory.com. Dundee's Old Schoolhouse Museum, located at 26 Seneca Street, is open May 1st through October 31st each year. It is also open by appointment. Board meetings, which are open to the public, are held the second Wednesday of the month. January, February, March and December meetings will be held at the Dundee Library at 5:00 pm. Meetings for all the other months will be held at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, 26 Seneca Street at 5:00 pm.

The Barrington Highway Department would appreciate any donations of old clothes or such that could be used as grease rags. The Department also uses used oil to heat the shop and would really appreciate any donations of used oil to save on the heating bill. Please note that the oil MUST be water free. Due to illegal dumping that occured at the Barrington Town Garage, The NYSDEC has made the Highway Department gate off all entrances. Residents will still be allowed to dump materials listed below during regular business hours by calling (607)-243-8323 or (607)-243-5323. The materials that are accepted are: Leaves, Brush, Trees, Stumps, Dirt & Rock. Also...By APPOINTMENT ONLY...Metal and Batteries are accepted. We appoligize for any inconvenience.
